Where Your Assistant Runs
Ready-made assistants run on their maker's computers. A custom assistant runs on a computer you control, in your office, on a rented server, or in your own cloud.
Your assistant has to run on a computer somewhere. Where it runs depends on the tool we use.
Grok Bot, Meta Muse, and Claude Cowork
These run on the company's own computers. There is nothing for you to set up or look after. You sign in to your account and it works.
Custom code
A custom assistant runs on a computer you control. You have three choices:
- A computer in your office. A small machine that sits on a desk or a shelf. Your data never leaves the building.
- A server we rent for you. A computer in a data center, rented in your name. It is quick to set up.
- Your own cloud account. If you already use Amazon, Google, or Microsoft cloud, it can run there.
It is in your name
The computer and the account belong to you. We set everything up and give you the keys. If you ever want to move your assistant somewhere else, you can.
